General conditions
1° The Competition is open to young violinists of all nationalities born after January 1st 1980.
2° The decision of the « Administration Committee of the Competition » on the
admission of the candidates to the competition is final and requires no explanation.
3° The competition includes:
a) a preselection on a CD support
b) public rounds:
- eliminatory test
- semi-final test
- final test with :
a recital
a concerto with orchestra
4° The musical programme joined for the application must be confirmed
compulsory on June 15th.
5° The competition will provide a piano accompanist for the candidates who will receive one rehearsal free of charge before each test. Any additional rehearsal will be at the competitor's expense. A candidate may come with his (or her) own accompanist at his
(or her) own expense. If he plays with the official accompanist he may play with his
(or her) own accompanist for the recital finale.
6° The final « concerto » round will be preceded by two rehearsals with the orchestra. The other rounds will be preceded by one rehearsal.
7° The works will be played from memory, excepted the compulsory contemporary work (with the agreement of the composer). The candidate is not allowed to play a same work for several tests. Any work will be played entirely. The required timing for each will have to be respected.
8° The competition tests, either in their totality or only in part, as well as the final concert, may be broadcasted, on live recorded and broadcasted on radio, television
and on internet without payment of any fee.
9° Taking part in the competition implicates full acceptance of all the rules,
engagements for concerts listed within the awards.
10° The Competition will be not involved in the technical organization
of the concerts given to the laureates.
11° In case of legal dispute, only the French text of the rules is valid.
