1° The Competition is open to young pianists of all nationalities born after January 1979.

2° The decision of the « Administration Committee of the Competition » on the admission of the candidates to the competition is final and requires no explanation.

3° The competition includes :
a) a preselection on CD audio support
b) public rounds

1. Eliminatory test
2. Semi-final test
3. Final test with
   - a recital
   - a concerto with orchestra
   

4° The musical programme written on the registration form cannot be changed.

5°  The final « concerto » round will be preceded by two rehearsals with orchestra. The other rounds will be preceded by one rehearsal.

6°  All The works will be played from memory, even the contemporary work compulsory. The candidate is not allowed to play a same work for several tests. Any work will be played entirely. The required timing for each will have to be respected .

9°  The competition tests, either in their totality or only in part, as well as the final concert, may be broadcasted, on live or recorded and broadcasted on radio and television without payment of any fee.

10° Taking part in the competition implicates full acceptance of all the rules, the edition of the compact discs offered by the competitions and the sponsors, engagements for concerts listed within the awards.

11° In case of legal dispute, only the French text of the rules is valid.
