Jacques Thibaud made during his life a great number of recordings.

From 1905, he records for the Société française de phonotypie several short pieces ; among them : the "Méditation" from Thaïs by Massenet, le Cygne by Saint-Saëns or Sérénité by Vieuxtemps. His first recordings with orchestra have been made in 1916 (Introduction et Rondo capriccioso by Saint-Saëns) for the records Pathéphone. In 1926, for the first time, Jacques Thibaud, Pablo Casals and Alfred Cortot met together for a Schubert-Beethoven program.

1940 is the year of the first recording with Marguerite Long (Second Quartett with piano by Fauré) with Maurice Vieux and Pierre Fournier.

Jacques Thibaud will be sometimes conductor. He accompanies Michèle Auclair in 1943, the year of ther prize, in theFirst Concerto for violin by Haydn.

The two last recordings of Jacques Thibaud were made in January 1953, year of his death : the Concerto for violin by Beethoven, played by Henryk Szeryng, and the one of Brahms, played by Jacques Thibaud with the Orchestre des Concerts Pasdeloup, conducted by Jean Fournet.
